1991 Cobra Commander variants

I just got a lot with a 1991 CC with the eyebrows, but the face shield is very orange. I compared it to my other 2 (w/ and w/o eyebrows) and both had a much darker face shield, closer to red than orange, compared to the one I just got. Any ideas? Is this known? My first thought was color fading but I don't think so. I didn't see it on Yojoe.

No, it is hasbro for sure, and still transparent, just a lighter color than I usually see. I'll try to get some pics together.

There are supposed to be 4 variants:

Red with eyebrows
Red without eyebrows
Orange with eyebrows
Orange without eyebrows

I only ever had 1 color myself, and NEVER found the other color. I was never quit sure which color I had since I couldn't compare it to the other one. I think figured it was the red versions though. After several years of never seeing the orange in person I stopped searching. I figured like the black dolphin it was a preproduction rumor/misunderstanding.

But, sounds like you just proved it exists. Congratulations

Did you get this from Europe by any chance? It is unclear to me if it is a domestic variation or an international version.

I got it from Canada. And recently I got two more Cobra Commanders with eye brows from a Canadian lot, but both had the darker colored face shield. here is a comparison of the light and dark face shields. I don't have a no eyebrows-light face shield, but I have the other 3 versions.
