So I recently got the Airborne/Quest pack. Not in the best of shape but still pretty nice to have in the ol' collection.

My question, and figured this was best place to ask:

What is the deal with these? Why/how did they come about?

And how many are there? I know there's a JQ/Destro one as well as the Airborne, what else is out there?

The figures were overstock and it was an easy way to blow them out. I know that there was a stormshadow and a ripcord on the johny quest cards as well. I would not concider these rare, but they are unique.

Is there anything different about that airborne compared to the american release?
Chris

Yeah, it's the argentinian version.

Blue collar, darker straps.

I believe that the Joes were extra stock left over and placed in packages with Johnny Quest toys after Plastirama either shut down or quit producing Gi Joe figures. There were also some Johnny Quest's that came packaged with Pac Rats. I know that many different combos have been found including some hybrid figures (example: Grunt head on Antorcha body).
