Been waiting a long time to do this one! I ordered the head and torso from SDS late last year. When it arrived, I realized that I didn't have a good set of bare arms for the figure and spent quite some time looking for a pair that would work. I ended up ordering those from SDS, as well. I took a few liberties with her outfit. First, I skipped the gloves that reach up to her bicep - after buying the bare arms, I didn't want to paint them! Second, I went with thigh-high boots instead of stockings. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Parts: Head, Torso & Arms (Slayer Design Studios), Legs (RoC Baroness v13).

Major Sebastian Bludd has always been one of my favorite bad guys. He was the second bad guy I ever bought in any G.I. Joe line (the 1982 Cobra Officer was the first). I was disappointed with the single card offering from the 25th Anniversary line (version 8) and I didn't like the colors of the one from the DVD pack (version 10), so I set about creating my own version of Bludd using parts from both of the Hasbro figures.

It was only after I finished the darn thing that I realized I could have just touched up the paint on version 9 and I would have been happy...

Parts: Figure & Dogtags (Major Bludd v8), Rocket Pistol & Backpack (Major Bludd v10), Gunbelt & Holster (RoC Street Viper).

The Monkeywrench released in the Rise of Cobra line was not a terrible figure, but it needed a bit of improvement...

Image

Parts: Head (Slayer Design Studios), Entire figure (RoC Monkeywrench), SCAR Rifle (Marauder, Inc.), Bandannas (RoC Tunnel Rat).

Like I said, the base figure wasn't bad. In my opinion, it just needed some more of the details from the ARAH figure. The bandannas were the first, and easiest, fix. Since I bought several of the Monkeywrench/Tunnel Rat 2-packs when they were on clearance, I just took two of the bandannas from my extra Tunnel Rat figures and painted them red. I applied Dull-Cote to seal the paint and then set them aside. Next, I repainted his pants so that they resembled the faded jeans the character wore in the 80's. I also painted the various patches onto his jeans. Moving on to his vest, I used my X-acto knife to shave off the equipment (the vest came from the same mold as Gung-Ho's vest) and then sanded it smooth. The new head came from Slayer Design Studios. Once all the paint was dry, I replaced his grenade bandolier, added the bandannas to his lower legs and armed him with the same nasty-looking pitchfork gun that the ARAH figure came with.

Anyone in close proximity to Munitia is suddenly and savagely chilled to the bone. Her icy presence sucks the warmth out of everything and everyone. Her eyes watch you the way a predator calculates its prey. Her face is devoid of all emotion - nothing pleases her, frightens her or surprises her. She is cool and in control at all times. Her ability to guess the actions of others has made her a supreme bounty hunter. She has a strong rivalry with fellow mercenary, Major Sebastian Bludd. She is sometimes found working with Firefly and Blackout, probably because their single-minded passion for devastation and darkness rivals her own. Together the trio is known as H.I.S.S. (Hierarchy of Infiltration, Stealth and Sabotage).

The headsculpt was obtained from Raginspoon. Check his stuff out at http://www.raginspoon.com.

This was the first G.I. Joe custom I ever made. It was done as a Christmas gift for my cousin Joel back in 2008.

Image Image

The base figure was a 25th Anniversary Python Patrol Officer. I replaced his web gear and added numerous 40mm grenade pouches to the new gear. I also added a holstered pistol under his left arm. The weapon is a 40mm pump-action grenade launcher from Marauder, Inc. The backpack also came from Marauder, Inc.

I should note that Joel's gift to me was a vintage G.I. Joe Airborne figure (my favorite when I was a kid). Thanks, Joel!

This was another army-builder created from spare parts. I'd still like to do an Elite Viper sniper-variant with a cool name, but for now this blueshirt Officer will have to suffice...

Image Image

Parts: Body (25th Anniversary Cobra Officer), Tactical Vest (RoC Sgt Stone), Dragunov Sniper Rifle (25th Anniversary Cobra Trooper).

Much like my Pyro-Viper figure, this guy started out as a Cobra Trooper with no weapons or webgear, so I dug around in my parts box and came up with something I liked. The tacticla vest fit well, but it was kind of bland, so I made some ammunition pouch casts (using Super Sculpey and some push molds I had created for a project several months back) and super glued them to the vest. The whole vest was then painted flat black. The Dragunov sniper rifle was painted according to a couple of photograhs I found on the Internet (why guess what it should look like when you can be precise?). Once the paint was dry, I gave him a light application of Testors Dull-Cote to seal the paint and reduce glare.

Not much is known about the Dreadnok Pyro. Aside from the fact that he likes to start fires and he seems to be completely insane. It's been reported that most of the other Dreadnoks only tolerate him out of fear that he'll douse them with kerosene and light a match while they're sleeping. This guy may be a bit on the small side, but he's not to be underestimated!

Parts: Head (Slayer Design Studios), Body (IJ: KotCS Mutt Williams), Knife (RoC Shipwreck).

This was essentially a project inspired by my desire to grow my Cobra ranks and use up surplus parts I had lying around. I'm not sure if Cobra ever had a flamethrower specialist before, but I figured since I had the Charbroil parts left over from my H.E.A.T. Viper figure, I might as well give them one!

Image

Parts: Head (25th Anniversary Comic Pack Hawk), Helmet (RoC Pit Commando), Body (25th Anniversary Cobra Bazooka Trooper), Flamethrower, fuel tanks, torso armor and waist armor (RoC Charbroil).

I had a group of three Cobra Bazooka Troopers that I got in a trade, all of them without heads and webgear. So I decided to try dyeing them a darker blue to match the rest of the Cobra blueshirt forces. The torsos turned out really well, but the arms (being of softer, more absorbant plastic) turned very, very dark blue. So they sat for a while... until I decided to use them anyway and explain away the darker uniform sleeves as being some type of elite troopers. As I had stated earlier, I had all of the flamethrower equipment and the Pit Commando (Steel Brigade) helmet in my parts box, so I put them to good use. I went with a red and blue color scheme and then applied a light coating of Testors Dull-Cote to seal the paint.

When I first saw the Pursuit of Cobra Rock Vipers, I wasn't very excited - in fact, I had planned to pass on the figure entirely. To be honest, it was the head that threw me off. I just hate it when Hasbro gets all lazy and throws a random masked head on a figure that would otherwise be outstanding (e.g. Sandstorm, Night Fox, Skydive, etc.). But then, I saw the custom headsculpt created by fellow IG Eduardimus Prime and I was sold! I ordered a couple of heads from Ed and picked up a couple of Rock Vipers.

Parts: Head (Custom sculpt by EduardimusPrime), Everything else (PoC Rock Viper).
