As many of you know, I’ve been working on a book idea for the last several years. Although the concept has changed over time, I recently came back to the original concept with some minor modifications. In my opinion, many underestimate what it takes to create a successful toy line. My goal with this book is to share with others the stories and designs behind the conceptualization and creation of a toy line that has been around for the last 30 years! I’m currently going through the proper channels to make this a reality, but wanted to share with you a sample from my pitch and get both feedback and support from the community. (Please click on the link below) If this is something you would like to see come to fruition, please go to my Facebook Page (Dan Klingensmith Jr.) and click “Like” as a way of supporting it.

Not what I expected, I was thinking it'd be just the packaging art. I like that I'm able to learn a lot more about the vehicles and changes in the design along the way. I also hope that the final packaging art will be included as well

That's a Joe project I've been really waiting for. The prototype stuff is cool, but I'm a big fan of the original packaging artwork. So much that the modern recreated versions bug me like mad. I understand the limitations of lost art, but does Milton Bradley own the rights to the trading cards featuring the cover art? High resolution scans of those could've worked. Those vintage paintings are captivating and really evoke a sense of action.
