I got this in the mail today. I had been watching it on ebay for a while now and finally decided to pull the trigger on it a week ago. It's dated 1995
Comparison with US version:
Other than the language changes, the Chinese version only lists 6 of the 9 figures the US one shows.
The Chinese filecard is actually shaped like a filecard.
The Chinese filecard art only has a bust shot of the Toxo Zombie instead of the close up and full shot with numbers listing all of the details, however the Chinese filecard still lists the details (You just don't know what goes where
)
There's no burst talking about the GI Joe cartoon as there is on the US version (I doubt they were showing the cartoon in China and by 1995 it was off the air anyway)
While the front of the card has basically the same information, some of it is in different areas. The starburst with the color change info is in the corner and not covering up the foot
The Eco Warriors "Splash" is the same splash but has had the font changed, however, the interesting part is that it's in a different place on the card. Also the logo now has a "Cobra The Enemy" logo
I think China got a partially finished card to work with because while there are the two graphic changes above, the character art is in the exact same place as on the US card. If you look at the plasma blast around the art you can see that it is in the same place at the edge of the card
However, the GI Joe Logo seems to be just slightly lower than the US version
The only toy difference is that the Chinese Toxo Zombie comes with the backpack and gun from the Toxo-Viper along with the water gun and stand the US one comes with
