OK so I'm not opening just yet because I don't know if this qualifies as 'production' or a very far along 'test-shot'.

This was the one from Canada that was on ebay. Got it for less than what the auction actually went for. As you can see from the pics, Ace has the markings on the forehead that are generally done on pre-production figs. The box has never been opened and I'm assuming everything is inside of it (stickers, blueprint, etc).

Enjoy!

**EDIT**

More pics on page two!

Notice the other vehicles are printed on the box as well, including the Crimson HISS and driver!

Finally an odd stamp over the filecard:

Like I told you earlier... even I don't have a test-shot mocked up in a finished box. I only have test-shots mocked up on blank mock up packaging for a few things. You should open it to see if there's any differences on the Sky Striker (when it gets released) and to see if your Ace differs at all but
do NOT remove that Ace. That's an amazing piece to be boxed up like that. Compare your Ace to my pics from a few months ago. Let me say I would have paid a hell of a lot for this if I had known that's what it was. You're lucky I thought dude was just selling a normal finished Sky Striker product.
HAHAHAHAHAH.

Wow, what a nice score you got. The actual pics on the box are really different than the one on display at Con. Ace dosent have his helmet on or anything. If the seller would of posted clear closeup pics of Ace I bet the price would have gone alot higher. Nice surprise. :o

I may open the side of the box this evening and take a peak. But for sure Ace isn't going anywhere!

Huh, so this isn't the one from the Canadian Con, then? I wonder where it came from...

Seller said his son won it at a trade show.

Yeah, that is the one a kid won at the Canadian Joe Con. It was Hasbro Canada who raffled it off so it is for realsies. They had it on display along with the loose one they assembled out of the box that morning. Even the MOC figures they had were in their respective packaging but had the markings.

11171 ...looks like the last week of March. So a 3 month time from China to retail isnt too bad for this item.

I wonder if the Sidewinders didnt make it to this Skystriker. The front box art shows no Sidewinders, and the "pictures" on the back show Dragonfly type missiles(just like the 1983 catalog did.)

nice score

Huh, didn't even noticed the MOC figures had those markings. Weird.
