ok fellas. ive got 3/10 rotor blades that are too bent to fit in with the rest for my tomahawk. seeing they are 10+ a pop to replace, id like to try straightening these on my own.

so who's got the secret here. i dont think baby oil can fix this. :P

i tried rubber banding them to a flat sturdy piece of metal for a week. no luck.

i was thinking of doing the same and putting them in some hot water maybe? any other ideas?

Hot water maybe...but be careful you may cause unwanted warping...When RIT dying parts in boiling water I've had vehicle and figure parts warp and shrink at the injection point.

Maybe take advantage of the current heat wave, set them outside for a bit then clamp them in a big heavy book to cool down with more books stacked on top.

Crazy idea, but try putting the blades upside down. They'll be sticking up for a bit but after time the gravity may straighten them out a bit. I think I tried this with one and I think it worked, but I don't recall exactly.

You may have to hang the tomahawk upside down to do this unless you just have the blades sticking off the edge of a shelf or something

interesting, i didnt look at them close enough yet, are they symetrical in that they can be flipped without noticing the difference?

No...they'll only lock in the right way up....I think Shogi was assuming that your blades were still in the Rotor Hub

i'd use a hair dryer or heat gun carefully.

or i'd put them in the my car on a hot day on a nice flat piece of wood.

they are removed at the moment. unbroken, just bent too much for my taste. i think im going to try the hairdryer trick while they are rubberbanded down to a piece of flat metal. ill post an update when i get results. probably tomorrow.

thanks for the ideas!

I seem to recall something about putting them in the middle of a book.

The larger/ heavier the book the better it will probably work.
