Some of you saw this already at Joecon in the Declassified booth. At con, it was there in a mock-up box. When I first received it in the mail, I was actually surprised that it was in a box at all because the seller's pictures showed it loose. Then I noticed a picture of the box behind it in the image. It was sent to me repacked in a hurry. So before I took my time to re-box it nicely, I took some comparison images. They definitely show a lot of retooling. So in that end, I am surprised this never came out. But at the same time....look at it. Was Wolverine just going to wreck those giant claws into some villains? It is strange to me that the Sand Razor had 3 missiles yet they chose to retool the whole top rather than make claw-shaped inserts and leave out the springs.

How fortunate that the cardboard they used happened to be G.I.Joe (DVD Battles and Sigma 6) rather than random My Little Pony or whatever else they have around.

First, some ideas are better off dead. I'm glad this never made it to retail. I guess it isn't any worse then some of the SPider-Man stuff.

Second, I like how the airvents/side mirror things fit into the sound attack slots. I am surprised based on the size of the claws that they don't come off so kids could wear it. I could totally see that play feature. I want to be in that meeting when the one designer tells the other how ludicrous that would be. :D

Third, I really like the box mock up. I've seen a few samples before but like you said they are usually random bits of whatever. This one feels like it has history with it.

That reminds me of some of the early 90's Toy Biz X-men vehicles

I think it has a measure of idiosyncratic charm. 8-)

Sabertooth just needs a furry tank.

Nice looking piece. I like the mock-up box as well.

My question, what are those bumps on Wolverine's shoulders? Looks like the upper body was originally designed for something to snap-on or fit over the shoulders.

I can't find any venom for this piece, considering that I've seen a couple versions of "Deep Sea Spider-Man" go by the boards.

Haha, yeah it definitely looks like it would have come out in the 90s.

I like the costume on that Wolvie. Not a bad design.
