I was hoping if someone who purchased a boxed set at the Con this year that did not get a bagged set would be willing to help me out in getting a bagged set from the club. Please PM me if you can help! Thanks!

Beginning to think i've pissed some people off somehow...anyone help me out?

It was hot set, I almost missed out on it myself because I was still on the fence when they were selling out. Dang exclusives, it is like a crap shoot.

Probably not, it's just there's very few people who buy the boxed set and don't buy the bagged set...especially when you look at the population of collectors who are active online.


Buying the Bagged set has traditionally brought the per figure price down by close to 50%...so people who have been to multiple conventions (the people who would frequent THIS site) have learned to just buy both...it's quite easy to find a buyer before the show, or to break up your bagged set and recoup your money after the show.

I'm sure once the club has let a set amount of time go by, they'll lift the requirement of people needing to have purchased a box set to buy the bagged set for this specific set. I really can't see them letting these sets sit when there are people who will gladly pay their full asking price.

This is a Time when you need to be wary of their production numbers...It's very likely that because they know they have a hot item, they'll be calling in everything they over-ran so the numbers will be higher than their listed number of exclusives produced.

wish the club would just let us buy those bagged sets...i'd even pay full price for them

I found out with the seeker botcon set years ago, it never hurts to ask. I'm not going to details other than they found a damaged one and offered it to me at a small discount. Sometimes the club keeps a few bagged sets for prizes at con. Until recent years we would see at least three original crimson strike fuscia sets pop up as prizes at con. I even won the crimson hiss tank from that set in Atlanta. I've also won the hammer and a tiger ray

gonna bump this thread just to see if anyone out there has a bagged set to sell OR didn't purchase one at Con and wants to hook me up.

Cathy at the Club told me that they would not sell it to me at normal boxed set price and that they would use any extras as convention prizes.

Finally got a MBII set coming to me in the next week!
