Man I thought I already took care of my introduction here? Guess not.
I go by the Goofateer pretty much everywhere on the web. So if you know a Goofateer, yep, that's almost certainly me. Just to clarify Goofeteer (with an "e" instead of an "a") was a little know employee only promotion of Disney's Goofy dressed as the Rocketeer way back when the movies hit theaters. Unfortunately I chose my name before I knew how Disney spelled it.
I currently own and operate Captain Cosmos Collectibles in downtown Winchester, Kentucky. I do as many toy show's as I have time for, but that's rarely more than 4 a year. I hope to do more this year. You can find updates on Facebook, and shop with us on eBay.
I was a hardcore "get EVERYTHING" G.I. Joe collector since 1982. Also dabbled in just about every other toy line out there from time to time. But lately I've been cutting waaaaay back on collecting, and I've even been doing a little bit of thinning out.
Now I'm focusing my colleting habits on smaller, more personal, and more manageable collections. For G.I. Joe I concentrate on comics, and kid sized items like Halloween costumes, T-shirts, hats, and sleeping bags. Basically I try to focus on whatever everyone else tends to be ignoring.
So if you have any unusual G.I. Joe comics, or any G.I. Joe item that a kid could wear, use, ride, or get into, I might just be interested.
